About the job: Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer – Hybrid (Zurich)
Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to 120,000 CHF base salary

Combining a start-up’s agility with engineering excellence, we seek an experienced Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead the development of innovative firmware and software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to drive advancements in control and automation systems while engaging in hardware schematic design and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Firmware & Software Development:
• Design, develop, and optimize firmware and software using C++ and other relevant languages for industrial control systems, ensuring seamless hardware integration.
• Hardware Collaboration:
• Partner with hardware teams to design, review, and refine PCB layouts and schematic diagrams, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Leadership & Mentorship:
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers—to promote best practices and foster innovation.
• Product Expansion:
• Contribute to expanding our product lines and exploring new opportunities in industrial machinery manufacturing, construction equipment, and automation technologies.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in embedded systems with a strong background in firmware and software development.
• Solid understanding of hardware integration, including PCB and schematic design.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills in complex industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Passion for continuous improvement and pushing technical boundaries.
• Proficiency in German (minimum B2 level) and English.
• Desirable: Knowledge of FPGA and ASIC design techniques.
